Who can use NearMeetup

NearMeetup is for people who are 18 or older. By creating an account you confirm that you are at least 18, that the date of birth you give is true, and that you have not been banned from the service. We may ask you to prove your age and we remove accounts that are under age.

Your account

One person, one account. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us if you think someone else is using it.

How to behave

Use real information. No impersonation, no fake profiles.
No harassment, hate, threats, pressure, or sexual content you were not asked for.
No spam, advertising, scams, or asking for money.
No content involving anyone under 18. We report such content to the authorities.
Meet people safely: choose public places and tell a friend. We cannot check everyone.
An avatar is not proof of identity; meet people in public places and use Block and Report.

Safety tools and moderation

You can block or report anyone at any time. Moderators review reports and can warn, suspend or remove accounts and content. A block hides you from each other. A report is kept even if the account is later deleted.

Your content

You keep ownership of your photos and text. You allow NearMeetup to store and show them to other people as the service works, and to moderators when they review a report.

Ending your account

You can delete your account in Settings, Privacy & account. Your profile, photos, location and messages are then removed. We can suspend or remove accounts that break these terms.

No guarantees

NearMeetup is provided as it is. We do not promise that you will meet anyone, that other people are who they say they are, or that the service will always be available.

Changes and contact

When these terms change in a way that matters we will tell you in the app and ask you to accept again. Questions: contact the operator of this service (add a contact address before launch).
